Your story happened. But it doesn’t have to get the final word on your future.
I Changed My Story is a peer-led approach to childhood trauma recovery built on a simple belief: we cannot change what happened to us, but we can change our understanding of what happened and what we allow it to mean for the rest of our lives.
Through four recovery principles—Awareness, Understanding, Acceptance, and Forgiveness—we learn to look honestly at our stories, separate what happened from what we came to believe about ourselves, put responsibility in its rightful place, and begin moving forward with greater truth, freedom, and hope.
This isn’t about blaming the past, excusing harmful behavior, or pretending difficult experiences didn’t happen. It’s about getting down to the business of recovery. It’s about understanding our story from a place of truth and discovering that some of the beliefs that once defined our lives don’t have to define our future.
Whether you’re beginning this journey, attending an I Changed My Story seminar, or continuing the work as part of our recovery community, you are invited to discover what becomes possible when you begin seeing your story differently.
Different chapters. A brighter tomorrow.
